Contrary to what some people may think, the blogosphere in general - and this blog in particular - is not dead. Facebook has not yet killed me off. The reason for the lack of activity these past few weeks is having too much to read and too little time in which to read it all, as I believe is a common problem this time of year. As they say: "Books are heavy on me". But I just realized today that I haven't actually written about what I am doing this summer, which is a shame. In short, I will be returning to Africa, but this time only for a few weeks. Between June 4-28 I will be travelling with three other students from Kampala in Uganda to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, stopping by as many friends on the way as possible. My mind is still full of exam stuff, and I can't really wrap my mind around the thought that in less than three weeks, I'll be in Africa again. I think I have to finish my exam before I can really appreciate it. Dusty roads, cramped buses full of people and livestock, fresh fruit and children running barefoot in the streets. The sun that warms your face in the morning and burns your head in the day. Time running at a different pace. Joys and sufferings. Children shouting at you in the streets. Boda boda bicycle taxies. Matooke and passion fruit juice. Long, white beaches and the lazy waves of the Indian Ocean. Juste a couple of weeks to go, and we'll be there...
In case you wondered, this is where we're going...

Where am I going this summer?
